Gu need more power
Gu need more power
Hi ... i have a stock standard 02 gu cab chassis ..i was wanting to get a bit more power out of the engine and was wondering what would be the best options ... cheers
if that doesn't make you feel better, open you wallet real wide and splash out on a ball bearing turbo upgrade and a decent water to air intercooler, with a good tuner you should be able to hit 160-180hp.
assuming you already have exhaust and boost etc.
if you want to break 200 without rediculous EGT's look into methanol/water injection.
GT2860RS with a .64 exhaust housing before you ask. Or search if you want someone else's opinion.
If you're after bigger power more than better driveability, you could look at the GT2871R which has the larger compressor wheel for a bit more airflow. Takes a fraction more to spool up though.

wats your budget?
wat power do you want in the end?
what do you use.... anyway the questions/answers are there.
99 percent of our customers are content with a 3" exhaust and dump. Dyno tune, raise boost and add fuel to maintain stock EGT's. Normally get a 30-40 % increases without any catches. We do heaps, 1-2 a week.
There are more options but I'd start there.
