GU Ute Ditching Main Tank
GU Ute Ditching Main Tank
Im looking at ditching my main tank on my GU Coil Cab. Is it possible to use the sub tank as the main. Is it just as simple as rewiring the pump and re-routing the fuel lines ?
If it has the large sub its around 90/95 litres!! so the same as the mainnoodle wrote:Im going to shorten the chassis and use the sub tank for the time being until I have time to build a larger tank for it. How many litres does the sub tank hold ?

If you cut a hole through the floor it should fit, prolly need to remove the back seat also. The tanks are high, prolly finish at the bottom of the drivers seat.bogged wrote:sweet, so do they fit into wagons?weeman wrote:Thats for a wagon a ute is differnt, bogged wrote:standard main 95noodle wrote:Im going to shorten the chassis and use the sub tank for the time being until I have time to build a larger tank for it. You can use the same sender for the pick up and cut into the fast fill hose (hose that run up to the top of the filler, breather about 12mm dia.) for the fuel return from the IP. This will keep the SUB fuel gauge working as normal also and lets the exess fuel return to tank,no mods to speak of.big red wrote:the senders are different with respect to number of pipes.
you may be able to swap them over but i'm not sure if the depths are the same?
