gday guys, a friend of mine had a suggestion the other day that i was wondering somebody could shed light on, he thinks that a set of shocks out of a cruiser to suit a 6" lift have a longer extended length than equivelent shocks to suit a nissan, therefore if i use a pin to eye adaptor to make em bolt up id have a longer extended length shock?
i havent really looked into it at all but there is a wealth of knowedge on this forum and im sure somebody would have tried this before if its possible.
any help is appreciated

cruiser shocks into a gu
Many many moons ago. I think there was talk of putting STD length 80series shocks onto a GQ. As they where long enough for a 2"lift on a GQ.
So that would mean 6" lift 80series shocks would be good for 8" lift in a GQ.
Maybe disconnect your current shocks and flex it up and see how much wheel travel you can actually use.
