supercharged GQ

Post by GQ Girl »

G'Day Guys,
I own a GQ with a 5inch suspension lift, a front locker and a new bar on the way. I'm looking to beef up the 4.2 injected engine. I am getting extractors, want to find out about bolt on supercargers, are they good? How much are they?

Bolt on superchargers are the go. instant boost rather than waiting on a lag from a turbo which can cause more problems eg loss of traction etc.

Its my option when my 4.2 is rebiult.

:D :D.. sounds like you're plannin a beast there

Generally cheaper to turbo than supercharge. Laggy turbos are old-school. If you get the right sized turbo with a ball-bearing centre, run just a few PSI of boost and keep a relatively high static CR it should be fine for off road.

Old Yella, Did he buy a kit, or did he knock it up himself?
