Post by big white fridge »

I'm putting a VS 5L into a 1990 80 series and when bolting the power steering box on it has hit the power steering pump. Has anyone else encounted this problem if so what was there solution. Thanks.

Make a bracket that relocates the pump higher.

doing the same conversion myself, and you will have to make new brackets to get it to fit properly.

Thanks for that guy's, I had another look at it and I can mount the pump on the same bracket a bit higher enough to miss the box. All i have to do is weld a tab on to the origanal bracket to give the pump more support and it should be ok.
