Having got the tensioner and fan belt replaced i was thinking it would be the end of my noicy belt problem, yep that was all good for about 2 months but now when the car is cold the squel has come back and stays untill the car is warm, anyone else had this problem? solutions or any ideas?

Yeah I had the same problem with my 99 TD42T but once I changed the tensioner it was fine.
As pointed out maybe you should take off all the belts and see if that stops the squeel. Then if so slowly re introduce each belt until you have found the offending pulley

A lot of the later model eauropean cars have clutches on the alternators too. I have replaced several of them and they are bloody expensive. old man went through these dramas with his 3 litre.
belt grip on the multi v belt is a very bad idea, makes them squeel like hell.
i think his solution was a new alternator bearing and a genuine belt, had nothing but dramas with aftermarket belts, about 3 of the things in 30K

Just a tip when it comes to 'V' belts and cars .. dont use raw edge cog belts as they are not designed for the enviroment found under the bonnet .. they will squeal once the pollutants work there way into the edge of the belt .. and the best way to find which belt is sqealing is to use a hard soap .. and dont over tension them .. it will kill the idler bearings and give absolutely no extra grip !
