Post by howsie »

93 - 94 rocky. Will 33's rob a lot of power and what is needed to fit them.

Basically at the moment stock standart turbo diesel sportsafield just got a 3 inch sports exhaust and am really worried about it loosing a lot of power as i drive up some pretty steep hills on the way home

I had a 2" body lift and a 2" suspension lift to fit mine, also i had to remove the plastic end caps from the front bumper.
Mine had 3" exhaust with no muffler, running 16 psi with a dynotune and pump adjusted and big ricer intercooler up front. Power loss was not really noticeable with the big wheels and offroad was nearly the same as well.

My old Rocky, was my first 4wd which I built up from standard, ran a 2 inch body lift and a few inches in the suspension using lifted springs and extended shackles. Ran a 2.5" exhaust and power loss was noticeable but not too bad.

flares were just the standard ones with 75mm flexiflare screwed to the outside, should also add the simex's actually measured 34" even though they were listed as 33"s and i ran 2" wheel spacers all round and the tyres just touched the leaf spring by about 1mm on full lock but this dissapeared when the tyres wore down a little.
