1hz to 1hdfte in an 80.

Post by Berleybucket »

G'day all, New to the site and i realise you have probably talked about this before, but for a newby is there anybody out there that has successfully put a 1hdfte into an 80's 1hz. I am fairly mech handy so could do at home or is there any mob in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne that could do this for me? My old 1hz has nearly given up the ghost and i would love to put a 100's TD in the front.
Are there any custom wiring harness mobs out there to do the electrics as i understand this is one of the trickiest things.
Any advice is welcome.
Cheers BBucket

Thanks legend80, I am already having a chat with killalux via ebay. He seems to be the man!
Any hints on the mechanical side of things?
The bell housing, clutch area is a bit confusing. I am running a Daikin safari tuff clutch plate, everything else is stock. I am hoping the mech side of things is a straight swap. I might have to source a new mount for my endless air comp but everythong else seems cool or am i dreaming?
