Those Front Hub Circlips
Tried to purchase a new pair of front hub circlips today, tried Bursons, Repco, CBC and stacks of others, no luck! Got brave & visited local Toyota-Daihatsu parts dept, guy said " They got 3 prs in Sydney & they will cost more than $20 each" maybe somebody knows a good source of such heavy duty circlips. Should cost maybe $2-$4 each possibly...
Have 2 Ferozas, keen vehicle modder, do most repairs myself, 62years young, got the Feroza Bug....
You mean the external circlip that retains the axle in the hub?
CBC sold me a pack of 20.... and if your changing them just because the manual says you need to - don't bother...... yes its not a bad idea but its not a high load part and if you don't butcher them to get them out ( i.e. use the correct tool ) are perfectly reusable.
All they do is stop the outer shaft pulling out of the freewheel hub inner and miss aligning the hub seal - important, but not worth changing every time.
I carry a few in my toolbox more to solve the "opps i've dropped it into a boghole" that would inevitably happen IF i ever broke a driveshaft on the tracks. As I carry spare outer and inner CV's that will probably now never happen

Since you are going to by new circlips by the one with the two holes one them
and also a circlip tool that will make your life easier to fit or to take out your circlips.

Great news, I would really like to fit those circlips with the holes however I have not been able to find such a circlip that is thick enough to replace the Feroza one, many suppliers have suggested that I fit 2 of the thinner circlips with holes together so that they fill circlip groove, but I would prefer the thicker one piece style with holes as shown in your pictures, where can I purchase these thicker ones? They would be fantastic. regards from Ran

As Ferozamaniac is in Greece...... i suspect his suppliers wont be much use to you 
But he right..... in fact i've always used this type of circlip ( actually forgot there were any other types...... )
I can't emphasize enough that these circlips carry NO LOAD - all they do is stop the outer CV slipping back. I've seen cars run with no circlips for ages without issues ( not that i'd do it by choice ).
Just fit the type as shown - a little slack between the clip and the groove will make absolutely no difference. The grooves actually vary between axles so its not a precission part.

Thanks MightyMouse, sounds like these Circlips are not so critical as Daihatsu would have us believe, definately prefer this style of external circlip, this forum provides a very special level of support, fantastic work, many thanks to everyone. Ran
