Post by jaybammm »

hey there i have a gq wagon with 5inch spings and over 30inch shocks with a-frame

just wondering if i can use the rubber bump stop out of the toyota 80 that i have 2 off allready and bolt it with a flat plate ontop of my coil towers and have the rubber bump stop hanging down as u would in the 80,

would this work like the superior boilt in coils drop out retainers , the point of this i want the coil to locate back to the position after poping out on full flex ......

yes you can use an 80 bump stop

I used mild steel pipe reducers (100 - 50mm i think). i got them from a steel fabrication shop they are about 100mm long and were about 25 or 30 each i think. measure the spring seat for the larger measurment

you can get the pipe reducers from any plumbing supplies.
they are about $30 a side and thick steel but you have to weld them in
