Who Wants To Build Me An Extra Cab

Post by johno »

Ok, have got a nice 97 GQ 4.2" petrol I picked up at auction last week. I will be putting all my diesel stuff into it. ( motor etc will be for sale )

I need someone to convert it to an extra cab, Victoria as preference, car will be at Wodonga.

Wont be a hard time line as i'm still stuck in N.Z. Anyone interested shoot me an email at jcrees@xnet.co.nz. We can discuss price and style etc.

Cheers

Angle grinder and start choppin,
If you cant weld make friends with someone who can.
Then a bit of bog and paint, then you need to sort out the electrics and interior.
just talk to an engineer first so they are satisfied with how your doing it,
It cost a mate of mine about $2500 all up.

generally MOST use ute rear walls
but this increases the cost of the rear wall as many are chasin them
im a way threw an wagon/extra cab conversion
(wether i finish it , who knows)
i started with an MQ wagon with a shagged roof, so my method is probably different to most
all its cost me to date is a bita stuffin around, alot of lookin, measuring
9" cutting wheels and a coupla flap wheels and we are ready to weld out
even made the rear wall from an old roof
the trick , if you are not real comfortable doing it,is to by a ruffy and chop/cut modify that
if u stuff it doesnt cost much
most people are hesitant to give trade secrets or short cuts as they make a living from such conversions
