can some1 tell me which way the dust seals go and the mounting bolts for the backing plate, are nuts on the inside of the brakes or the axle tube side. thanks, joe.
I guess three diamonds is better than two feet.
the diagram bigbrowndog posted shows the opposite.Wozza244 wrote:The nuts on the outside (visible from the outside of the car) and im not sure i understand what you mean by the dust seals? As far as im aware it only fits one way.
Its been a while since i had one open, but i vaguely remember the nuts on the inside of the assembly.

Because the bolts for the backing plate are clearly depicted in the diagram coming through from the inside, as i said, the nuts for the backing plate will be on the outside visible from the outside of the vehicle.
Cheers
Get out there!!
hmm, i just confused what you meant. I was thinking more that inside = inside the brake drum.Wozza244 wrote:Seems its been a while and you cant read a diagram tooShadow wrote:the diagram bigbrowndog posted shows the opposite.Wozza244 wrote:The nuts on the outside (visible from the outside of the car) and im not sure i understand what you mean by the dust seals?
