A guy at TJM told me that shocks ( pin to pin ) are measured from very tip of pin to very tip of pin to get there compressed and extended length, while another Guy at ARB told me it's from base of pin to base of pin. so my shock is etheir a 670mm extd or a 530mm extd!!!

ok, thats what i thought base to base, rang opposite lock to enquire about some other shocks and they said that it's from middle of pin to middle of pin ( where the bushes sit ).

Yes but the eye is always centered over the pin it mounts on - so it doesn't matter.
No the other way around. If the eye is larger the shoch will be less extended at a vehicle's normal ride height than the same shock with a smaller eye on the same vehicle.
Thanks fellas, just something else to add. I phoned Opossite Lock today regarding information on their shocks extended lengths etc. they told me they can't and won't give me this information as other competitors are trying to steal it from them. I told him that i needed this information to work out how high to space my towers if im going to use his shock. and if there lengths would suit. guess he doesn't want me to use his shocks. He would only give me the price.
