i put 92-94 honda prelude seats in the front they were not the easiest to install but not to bad. they are not a realy good seat to sit in on the highway all day but as soon as you hit the scrub they are great they were about 200 for the pair from memory

These Recaro seats are in the shorty that I've just bought. I need to re do the boulster on the side of the chair but they are really comfy and give pretty good support.

I put ba xr6turbo / xr8 seats in my ute,

3 of the 4 bolt holes lined up.
Just need to extend one of the back holes with some plate about 50 mm and shorten the little knob you use to tilt the seats
there sweet seats.

I can get some pix if you like.

These are the seats, I think they are heaps better than the commodore seats. they are out of a BA XR6 turbo / XR8 and have adjustable lumbar support on the driver and passenger seats, they cost me $300 for the pair.

You need to pull the knob off that adjusts your back rest and cut the back of it so its flush about 3 cm, (it is easy to do as its only plastic) you will also need to cut the rod down that the knob sits on. and cut the plastic thing like I have so it all fits in.

I used the GQ rails.
The only other mod I needed to do was lengthen the inside of each seat rail (I think it was either 50 or 70mm) I just used a piece of flat bar and bolted it on, the outside rail on each side fits perfectly.

Those seats look pretty good in there. Not much room to adjust them though but once you get them where you want to then who cares.

troylux, how high do the XR6 seats sit, higher or lower than standard?

I put Prelude seats in my GQ after reading a few people on here recommend them, they are really comfy, but sit higher than the standard seats, Im tall and my hair now (just) touches the roof lining.
