Changing clutch plate n HJ75
Hi
I have a Toyota Landcruiser cab chassis ute HJ75 with 2H engine. I changed the orginal clutch at 160,000km now at 350,000 and plan to change shortly. The complication is that I am in Bangladesh - half way through a worldwide driving trip! Can anyone advise what parts should be changed along with the clutch plate? It cna be hard to get a straight answer here!
Thanks

A good idea but not always the way to go! If the rear main is not leaking then do not touch it! There is always a possiblity the new seal will leak! So dont change it if you dont have too! And Buddah said everything!RAY185 wrote:And rear main (rear crank) seal if possible while the flywheel is off getting machined.

Cheers for the help everyone....
The clutch is working well now - just buying the parts in preparation - might be harder to do in Pakistan/ Iran where we head next as depending on the situation we might have to go thru v quick with police escort!
I've tracked down a clutch plate - just can't find a pressure plate or a kit. Does anyone know if the toyota kits(or on genuine are still available for this engine? the

Re: Changing clutch plate n HJ75
And check the fork for wear/cracks, because you'll be really pissed when if goes 5000kms after changing the clutch in your freezing cold, tool-less, dark, missus infested, beerless shed.....not like i'd know thoughAndrew Pettengell wrote:Hi
