As Jamie said, you must be in a club affiliated with the NSW-ACT Association.

So yes, 'certain' clubs. If you're not sure if your club is affiliated, check with one of your committee members.

For those of us competing, are there any allowances to have support crew or our own photographers attend?

the gully that the comp is in dosent lend itself to specators its a goat track the safest route to watch is to walk along the track and we cant have competitors driving over specators can we

Hi
Just to explain your question:
The On All 4's 4wd Club have run the one day Woodpecker Gully event for 10 years straight with over 2000 spectators. Let me tell you, it is not very appealing to us to have spectators from the General Public who are not a part of a 4wd Club. Some of the reasons are - too much rubbish left after the event, it is difficult to get them to move off the tracks and they are painful to deal with.
We are now moving to run smaller events which do not include members of the general public. We have more control this way and the event is more enjoyable for all concerned. By allowing spectators who are in a 4wd club, allows us to maintain this control, as the club that they are members of are held accountable for their actions. Also, it provides additional insurance to our club & event insurance.
The $350 entry fee allows us to give cash prizes, pay for toilets, insurance, trophies and any other incidental expenses to run the event. With Woodpecker City v Country the $200 entry fee did not cover the costs.
The On All 4's 4wd Club is a voluntary organization, whilst we do these events for the enjoyment and to share the property with like minded 4wd enthusiasts, we still have to cover costs, otherwise our club would run at a loss and which would mean we would not be able to run one of the best events in Australia (Woodpecker). Ask any of the City v Country competitors what they thought of the event, I'm sure you'll get some very positive feedback. They all want to come back to compete again, panel damage included.
For your money you get to drive a track which is 1.5km long with 3 stages and other 2 tracks at 200m long which is all natural, the best mother-nature can throw at us. You'll definitely get your monies worth.
We are only allowing 30 to 50 spectator cars (who are in a 4wd club) due to the severe terrain and spectator viewing. By mid July, we will have all the information regarding spectator entry posted on outers, however this will be via expressions of interest only.
There are only 10 vehicles from each state competing, so we do rely on competitors entry fees.
Our club is treating this as a private function, we are deciding who will compete and who will spectate.
If you are a competitor email your questions regarding competitor entry or any other general questions to gothe80@bigpond.net.au and Cc-yogikiller80@hotmail.com.
Cheers, Jamie

Hi,

Sorry I would not be able to display other peoples vehicles on a public forum with prior approval. We have some very heavy artillery coming along. I have seen all the photos who will be competing so far & although there is some top trucks, Milo's vehicle won't look out of place. However ensure you have a top notch navi & bring plenty of spares & maybe a spray can of red paint.

Good Luck!

Cheers Jamie

The event will be held at the same location as the City v Country on a property just outside Mudgee. There will be limited spectator entry, however you will need to be in a 4wd Club which is affiliated with the NSW/ACT 4wd Clubs association. The price will be $50 per vehicle, this includes camping.

There will be more information provided for spectator entry mid July. Keep posted.

So QLD supporters are not allowed? Unless we join a NSW/ACT club???

I am sure that if you are a member of a club affiliated with the Queensland 4wd Association, Four Wheel Drive Queensland,i assume it will be ok. If you would like to check out which clubs are there is a list on there website http://www.fwdqld.com.au

Yeh, you may only need to buff the dents out, anyway does not matter, he said he will leave it at my place for a while if required. It could turn into another farm truck.

If we allow too many QLD supporters then it might make them drive harder (we don't want that). Are you coming in a competitors or Navigators vehicle? if so your entry fee is covered under the $350. If not, then when I post to say what spectators terms are then send me a expression of interest. As i have already stated, you can treat this as I private function & we allow spectators into the property on our invitation.
