hey mate, im just about to do my nk.. have spoken to leco's at work n im just gettin a red arc smart start solenoid of ebay for about $100, battery cradle of ebaymade to suit the paj bout $170 then just need your battery.. im using 35mm2 cable just run it from your positive on your main battery through the solenoid then to the positive on you second battery.. then ground your second battery.. pretty simple and cost effective way of doing it..

Re: dual batteries
What reason do you want the dual battery for?

Re: dual batteries
If it is for winching, save ya money and just hook the batteries up together - a voltage sensitive relay is pointless for winching and it only uses one battery.
This is how I did mine, made it myself, cost me nothing but another battery and two terminals.

Re: dual batteries
Fair enough but its a lot easier and cheaper to put a wire from one + to the other +....
Sure the SBI212 will do the job, they are rated for 200 continuous amps with a momentary 600. But they are $340.
A winch motor is pretty common to draw +300amps easy so it'll be fine for a while.
