With all the V8 conversions I have done I've always used the std nissan diesel 9 & 1/2" clutch pak and it has in the past stood up quite well...... That was untill I fitted the 350 Chev, now I've blown number 2 in as many weeks
So what I am thinking is......
The 10 & 1/2" Range Rover pressure plate....
The 275mm nissan TDI clutch plate from a 99 model....
has any-one got a RR pressure plate lying around that they could get some mesurements off of for me please ???

Kingy why not use a chev pressure plate 10.5 or 11 inch available from memory, and the biggest nissan clutch plate available. Another option may be look at a centre force pressure plate, more revs more clamping force.
or check out the Safari Tuff units, from what I can gather alot of the big boys with their hot diesals are running these and there holding together ...
May save alot of stuffing around ..

Of to see the clutch man this morning ..... hopefully he has some practial ideas that can be applied.
I can see I'll be running the 99 mod TDI nissan clutch plate as its a good 10 & 1/2 inches...as for the pressuer plate ...... but I'll keep you informed

The 265mm heavy duty nissan clutch plate from a 99 mod TDI patrol.
Unfortunately the 275 mm clutch wouldnt clear the RR pressure plate by 7mm so we went for the smaller plate which fits almost perfectly.
The nissan diesel clutch we were using is only a 9 & 1/2' plate so with fingers crossed the bigger unit "should" fix the problem..... fitting it up this w/end
