3RZ Part #

Post by 404HZS »

I'm in the process of doing the wiring for my 2L-t => 3RZ conversion and need a little help from the Outers 3RZ Guru's. :D
The 3RZ will be controlled by an EMS Stinger ECU and while running through the wiring today i've got everything set-up but there is a part that has got me a bit stumped.

The part # on it is 90980-04083 and it doesn't appear in the Toyota EPC but a google search revealed that it is a condenser / capacitor of some description?
Can anyone tell me what this does and is it necessary to keep it? I'm assuming that i can get rid of it but i don't know what it does so may be integral. :?

Thanks in advance

Got a pic? I think it's a noise filter that's wired to the ignitor to stop engine noise coming through the stereo.

Hi ray,
below is a pic. would make sense from what you have said and what i have read i think you are correct.
Has 2 wires, 1x 12V supply and the other goes to ground. I initially thought it was a resistor of some description but think otherwise now.
