I live in the USA and bought 6 weeks ago an 83 SWB MQ in left hand drive with SD33, it is 24v. The truck is green with white top and tan interior. I will be using a lot of black, silver and green on it as I customize the truck....out with most the tan! It comes from Germany but has been in the USA many years. These are very rare in the states as less than 20 have ever been imported. I got the truck fairly cheap and it has 330kilos. Motor is rebuilt completely with new Nissan head and reciepts over $3k. The motor is another post though...

Instead of ask a bunch of question in my first post I will tell you what I have planned for the truck. Of course feel free to tell me if my plan/ideas are trash...!
I bought it to play in, I need a P-troll that is not a classic that I can enjoy and beat to hell without caring. I have plenty of 60 series Patrols...you know G60's. Even just bought a 1980 LG61 I am importing to the USA. Yet, the MQ is strictly for build up and play. So I want to lift it 4", would like this to be all in the springs. 33-35"x9.5x16 rims and tires. Going to turbo the non-turbo SD33 and fit an intercooler....3" exhaust. Will then add Safari snorkel and a prefilter. I want to chop the bottom off the body and tuck it under, not ugly but done nicely. Then use the new area to run rock sliders in rear and sides. Custom bumpers with maybe a PTO in front if I can find one. Rear bumper prepped for rear electric winch. Rear winch mounted where stock spare tire mounts. Tow points on all 4 sides of the truck. Brush wires from front bumper to roof. 6 point roll cage inside cab with a series of oh sh!t handles that can have various uses. Mastercraft buckets in front with a single one mounted center in rear. Custom console, over head console also. CB, LOUD stereo and GPS. All new sound deading material. Custom tool boxes and shovel/axe mounted in rear. Spare tire mounted in rear. ARB lockers in both C200 diffs. Thinking about using a Cabstar 5spd or a late 80's Patrol 5spd. Mostly for the 5th gear and lower 1st. Also if using Patrol 5spd I may go with a gear mod. Custom skid plates for the tranny/transfer and diff pumpkins. Would like to switch to free wheeling manual hubs instead of the stock auto-whatever. I already started ripping out the stock carpet and panels. Going to have the entire inside Rihno lined. Interior panels will be custom made, maybe from diamond plate. Custom map pockets and other mounts on interior pannels. MK steering wheel or a custom one. 4-point harness for all three bucket seats. Few new gauges including tach. Large volume compressor and tank to run impact tools off or filling tires. Rack above hard top cab only with small but bright lights. Few other things like new mirrors and retro 80's side graphics. Will use powder coating on a variety of things inside, outside and under the truck.
Um..I think that is about it.

I realize it is a long post for the first one...at least I didn't ask a thousand questions! So what do you think, am I wasting my time and money on this MQ? Any thing I should re-think or that you would change? I am an open minded man but a thick headed guy! So say what ever you like....
