high steer?

hey guys just wondering if any body know of any one who does high steer kits for gq's cheers

There is a way to do it using MQ gear, I can't find the thread but it has been touched on before......

i have seen cars with high steer before but never really understood the benifits..

What I want it for is so I can put a hydraulic set up as easy as possible

you can use mq knuckles on a gq

Has any body fliped the standard arms on the gqs so the rear tie rod is at the front of the diff?

Forgive my ignorance but isn't that what is pictured above ???

In one of the links he has put up is saying it is the front end of the gq leaf spring and it looks like both the drag link and tie rod are on the same side of the nuckle where the gq coil nucksles have the drag link on the front and tie rod on the rear

Has any body used gq leaf spring knuckels on a gq coil diff ?
I carnt stop bending drag links

ive been running gq leaf knuckles on my shorty for the last 7 years.
they bolt straight on. for extra tie rod clearance, you can flip the tie rod
to the top of the knuckles.

Anyone got any picts of the MQ knuckle swap on a GQ. Apparently they don't work because the pivot angle of the bearings is different, but the angles look the same to me.

Jmac does a high steer for GQ's. Theres pics floating around on here some where. Cheers Loz.

So no need for offset bearings?? I only ask as I found the following quote from 'Wendle' on another thread:

yep, it all bolts up. I had the tapers reamed out and shimmed backwards to get the tie-rod higher again, but it isn't mandatory. If you leave the tie-rod under the arms (standard MQ style), it is a completely bolt-on deal. I ended up putting 2deg offset trunion bearings in, as the MQ's run lots of + camber, which looked like it was going to ruin my tyres a bit too quick.

What bearings and kingpin caps do you use? the MQ ones or the GQ ones?

I run the same everything I had on my MQ diff.
