60 series front recovery point

Post by lc61vx »

guys,
any ideas on front recovery point options for a 60 series? fitted an arb style bull bar and not really sure how and were to mount a recover point into the chassis.

You can use longer bolts for the bullbar and hang the recovery point underneath. With the hook type points the holes are too close together. I have used these

You can also use a shackle inside the high lift jack point.

I have an ARB deluxe bar and use the red OUTBACK IDEAS recovery 'hoops'. They bolt up to the chassis from underneath where the bar mounts. About $100 for the deuce from TJM.

if you have an arb bar, you will have holes on the side of the 2 uprights to bolt recovery hooks too.

i bolted on the rear recovery point off my old nissan 720 dualcab. i only had to open one hole out a little then remove a small section where it overlapped the bullbar base. two hi-tensile bolts, straight into the chassis at the front left. this is the factory nissan 20 odd mm bent round with the snatch baffle plate.
hasn't missed a beat in four years.
