I know that they have electronic timing advance, and that this is control via an ECU in the GU's just wondering if anyone has been able to get around this in some way shape or form?

TD42TI Pumps
Re: TD42TI Pumps
You can convert it to a machanical system, just need to replace the housing, advance piston and springs and recalibrate it. Or swap it for a pre electronic unit.

Re: TD42TI Pumps
Easy way around it is to set the timing to .61 and boost switch power on and off to the TCV at 3 PSI. Power on is full retard so under 3 psi should be on then over that disconnect it with a normally closed pressure switch.
Seen it done a few times, its not ideal but if you have no choice it may suffice for a while, otherwise have it modded as Andy has said.
