2010 river land challange

Post by Wambat »

hey guys, thought i would post up some pictures of the 2010 riverland challange at loveday in south australia.

i was quite supprised that the event didnt get any posts here, but i know some of you might like it. i think zoltan being one of the members here that would be intrested.

all my action pics are of the main jump as thats where i was most of the day. the track was a circuit of a couple jumps, hills into dips, bog holes, turns, moguls, and was very exciting to watch. was very hard on the vehicles, with a couple drivers breaking off their front swivel hubs on the jumps

Al

there wasnt a real need for the cars to have had thousands spent on them, some of the best performers were everyday cars like the white vitara, it actually done alright in its class. the zook with the moustache was my mates car and they came second in their class(standard), theres were three classes, bushmans, standard and open.

bushmans is nick named shit box class(and there were a few of them like my mates brothers rangie, that barely went) but others like the black hi lux that done really well. in open is where you see most of the cars that were doing the big jumps. (the red rangie took out open)

the shit rangie my mates brother was running for the event(cost like a grand of less) had its spring and shock fall out. shock lost its pin that holds it on the normal pin. well thats what it looked like. there was a hole there to hold it on, and he was trying to find something to put through the hole and bend around it to hold the shock on.

Great pics mate something different to all the other comps out there. Does anyone have specs and general info on the Scrubber GQ Patrol? That would have to be the toughest full bodied GQ I have ever seen!

Cheers guys,
Jacob

nothin' special. Suspension lift, 5 litre holden V8 and some panel work AFAIK.

Usually seems to have a wheel fall off at every event I've seen it :D ;)

Very entertaining to watch tho ...

this years jump for cash was won buy jamie in the red gq that was brought in with scrubber.

and as far as i knew scrubber was running either a 350 or 454 chev. in no way did it wound like a 5 litre though, to much balls, as alot of the other cars there were running 5 litres. i may well be running one but for the sound, and the go it has on the 44 boggers he ran later in the day, i would have been pointing to the chev too. but like i said i dont know(although tony said on the pa something about a chev)

 hmmm ... ok ... seems I heard wrong ... ... which isn't hard ;)

Pretty sure it's no big block ... still a bit of elbow room under the bonnet.

I'm not real familiar with the GM product so I am only guessing ... looked about Holden 308 size donk lurking in there.
