R151F and 1uz-fe with 100 series bellhousing ?

Post by Evan »

Just reading all sorts of posts about conversions.....

Anyway i couldn't really find an answer but could you use a 100 series v8 bellhousing from a 2uz-fe to R151F for a 1uz-fe to R151F conversion ???

I am sure the geniune toyota bellhousing is better quality than say a rodshop or dellow unit (not saying anything is actually wrong with theres), of course i dont even know if all the shaft lengths and bolt locations are the same.

Just a thought, has anybody researched this ?

havn't reserched wether the bolt patterns are the same between 1UZ / 2UZ

but being late model if you can find one in the wreckers, even the bell housing will set you back a bit :?:

dow50r mentioned in the thread below a value of $750. Sort of sounded like he meant the real deal. (second last post in thread)
I know he was refering to auto tranny but the thought just sort of crossed my mind, what would toyota charge for the part compared to a dellow or rodshop one.

Short answer No as the V8 Cruiser uses a H151F not the R series and its an entirely different animal.

Sometimes reading and searching can make you more confused.

90% sure Dellow make a 1UZ bellhousing to suit the 160mm input shaft of the R151, I know they definitely make a 1UZ bellhousing to suit the 190mm input shaft of the R154.
