tie rod ends
tie rod ends
Done a search, couldnt find anything.
I am trying to replace the RH tie rod end. How do you remove them without a puller?
I heard by hitting them, the bolt expands?
Any hints?

Re: tie rod ends
I've generally found that a few whacks with a hammer while pulling on the joint and it'll pop out. Hitting lightly with a big hammer tends to work better than exerting stupendous amounts of energy with a mediocre hammer.andy1517 wrote:must have to hit it BLOODY hard!

As for the grease, I never do - buy being an IT guy, I'm hardly charged with the authority to give an answer on that

Re: tie rod ends
Bit of anti seize stuff wouldn't hurt. But I've never done it.
The worst part about being told you have Alzheimer's, is that it doesn't just happen once.
