I just got one of these from work. Seems in good nick. Are these winches any good? Can they go on a GU Patrol?

Cheers.

It sounds like a Warn Series 6 Hydraulic Winch with a capacity of 6000lbs (2720kg).
I would suggest it is too small for a GU Patrol.
If you were to use it, it could be run off your powersteering pump (aka milemarker -although due to the gearing it would be 4.3x slower than even a milemarker - which is already slow), custom engine driven clutched hyd pump or if your GU has a PTO output, from your gearbox.
To run dedicated hydraulic would also req a custom reservoir, spool/counterbalance valves etc, piping etc.
