Just put my patrol on the dyno today and got 124hp @ 12psi and I want to know what other people have gotten.Mine is a 4.2 td with after market turbo. I just want to see if its about right for this motor.
GU Nissan Patrol. 4" lift, Schwitzer turbo,3" Exhaust,rock sliders,winch,33" Maxxis bighorns, Duel Batteries, Rolla draws.

Brisbane Dyno are now good mate there is no way to make that amount of power at the wheels out of 12 psi on 35s you need to go elsewhere for your dyno work. I am running mine unintercooled on 14 psi and made 130hp at the wheels with 35s

troy i got 145hp @12psi, larger top mount, std turbo, 3in zorst on 33's. northside 4x4 did that for me. there good and tell no bullshit!

I don't own a TD42, but just doing some maths on it.
At 4000rpm, 12psi boost, 80% VE, 18:1 AFR no intercooler etc etc
I reckon you can do about 170hp at the crank (126kw).
At 2000rpm you'd get about 400Nm at the crank.
You can go richer (hotter) at the expense of smoke and a potential melt-down or fit an intercooler to get more.
So yeah, 124hp at the wheels is about right with a sensible tune.

Not a heck of alot of point comparing different dynos, too many variables.
Just look at the before and after results and then decide with the seat of your pants if your happy with the improvment... if not add more

WOW mine peeked at 3400 rpm. What was your exhaust temps like with 13psi.

Exhaust temps were good thats why we didn't push it any higher, also they said it would use a lot more fuel for little gain.

The scale on that torque curve is out by a lot.
If the max power of 134hp is at 4000rpm then you're producing 236 Nm there. The graph shows 600 at that point.
But if you can work out the rpm you can get it more accurate than that.

dynod with 35 with 4.3 diffs. 268hp. 760nm of torque.. 150cc of fuel, 30psi boost. with cooler. custom turned ehxaust mainfold, dump 3inch exhaust. hycloned, fitting laminova soon.. also just put new motor in with inlet plenum, enhaust bored out. twin valve springs. 100%balnced. HPC coated pistons.. custom made clutch.

We run plenty of hp and have never heard of broken crank!! Are u aware of any yourself of have you just been told by some one?Just interested because we have had a bunch of them from full rebuilds (black head na motors) to 300000k silvers all up over 170rwhp some up to 290rwhp and better.When someone says in my expirence they brake cranks and the crank in a td42 is SOOO strong I`d just like to know weather it was directly related or weather it was hearsay of caused by bad balencer or mabey failed bearing?Sometimes more power can make a weak point fail.I guess I`m respectfully asking for more info on your sourse.Def not having a go Also going a bit mad from being stuck around house(wet weather).
