Sliders with exhaust on outside of chassis rail

Post by cruzinnboozn »

I want to make some sliders for my 75 series ute and need some ideas as to how people have done the drivers side with the exhaust on the outside of the chassis rail.

I am looking at doing the sliders with a clamp style set up over the rail and bolts at the top .

Any ideas/pics to help me would be great

There was a thread in 4WD action that showed some good pictures. The problem is how to attach to the front. I used a tubular section that bolted to the cross member that holds the gearbox transfer in position. The rear ones I clamped around the chassis rails. Seems pretty strong - I've sat the car on them a couple of times and they protected it well.

I got ARB scrub rails on mine, and the was no physical way to make my exhaust fit out side the chassis rail. So now its inside the chassis rail and even then its very tight.

Just move the exhaust inside the chassis rails
