I think Hilux diffs fit, but would have to check with an expert... don't know if ratios are the same either.....

100 series, 78/79 series also have same 8" high pinion front diffs that will fit, but check ratios are same as what you need.

Hilux diff WONT fit.. (dont believe the shit that they have a lux diff.. cos they dont)

105 series are high pinion but they are all 4.3 ratio

all 80's came from factory with 4.1 ratio.

This really should be a wanted add in the classifieds. But it seams to be now containing some tech so I will leave it here.

The FZJ75 front centre will fit but the ratio is different. An 80 series runs a 4.10:1 centre where as the 75 runs a 4.11:1 centre. The difference is very minimal but I have heard reports of transfer case wind up with the constant 4wd's on road while doing long distance with matching sized tyres and pressures on front and back.

I thought it was only early 75's (lp/9.5" front models) that were 4.11? With the hp front came the 4.1 ratios front+rear...could well be wrong though.

hj75 had the same low pinion diff front and rear (same as 60s), hzj75 got the smaller high pinion diff in the front (along with bigger CV joints) but kept the larger low pinion diff in the rear.

Front diff centres are 4.11 for 70 and 80 series - I think technically 4.1 repeater. Do they have 37 ring gear teath and 9 pinion teeth? 37/9 = 4.111111111....

Rear diffs are 4.1. Same for 80 series (according to my manual anyway). Presumably the centre diff takes up the small difference in full time 4WD mode. I don't know how many teeth the rear diffs have. Some fan of trivia must know. :)

The two diff centres you have advertised here are not High Pinion Centres. They are low pinion centres.

As you say the true mathematical ratio is 4.1111111.... with the teeth count of 37/9.... I would think that the teeth count on the exact 4.1:1 would have to be 41/10 which gives the exact ratio.... the next EXACT multiple to give you EXACTLY 4.1:1 is 82/20, which while technically possible is very very unlikely....

So are they or arent they high pinions?? I dont mind if im wrong. Just want it cleared up. Because they were sold to me from the wreckers a while ago as high pinion 75 series front diff centres for my (FZJ75 94 model Ute). The crown wheel is 240mm (9.5") They where spares for my comp truck but I never used them and they just sat around in storage.
