5L-e turbo conversion from a 3L turbo

Post by 010shane »

Hi guys,

I know 5L to 3 L conversion is no problems, but just wondering whether i'm going to have troubles with the wiring harness because im going to EFI. I'm getting it cheap and i need to spend heaps on my 3L to get it anywhere near the 5L's performance plus i get a gearbox and mines rooted. So anyone who knows about the EFI wiring harness or has done the conversion your help would be appreciated.

You could use the 3L pump on the 5L engine just fuel it up to suit.

If your swapping it from a 2LT-E to a 5LT-E (using CT20B turbo) works well as all the wiring is already there ready to go just basicly changing to larger cc's. BTW 2LT-E fuel pump (5B300) wiring & 5L-E pump wiring is the same (same pump with different settings).
If not, then will probably have a few hurdles to jump on the wiring side of things.
Can be done, just not as simple.
