Back on air.

I will be at the computer around 4 - 5pm each afternoon, and will reply to any emails.

If you need to call please call and leave a message and I will get back to you.

Last night was very pleasant. Make sure that you do have some warm gear on board.

Dinner on Saturday night will be at the house. All Competitors and Officials are covered for dinner, please let me know if you have any extras so catering can be arranged. Extra dinner tickets will be $18 per head.

Competitors please remember if your tow vehicle is being used to move between stages the special Park fee ($50) will apply for the weekend. Please do not abuse this condition of entry, I would like to come back again.

Expect some longer drive stages and some different types of SS, there will be no GPS or ground anchor SS this weekend, sorry I know you all like these.

Food will be available for sale over the weekend.

Friday nights SS1 will be a day time sprint run, starting at 1700 - 1730 hrs. This will be followed by 2 SS.

Saturday 5SS

Sunday 2SS last vehicle to run at 2pm followed by presentation.

Cheers

Good to hear Bigfella.

We finished Friday nights tracks today. Saturdays & Sundays have already been found and I am really happy.

I hope the competitors enjoy what has been set up.

I have had a long time spectator turn up early and has been out watching as I set up/planing SS, and building the SS, he did not know how much work was put into making it work.

Tomorrow will see Saturdays SS having bunting run and track cleared.

More updates tomorrow.

Cheers

There are 15 Teams entered. 4 Razors, 1 Buggy and 10 Full Size trucks.

This is the first time that all have competed on the same SS.

It is a pity that I have not had more support from Teams in the SE Corner when we have Teams from Tamworth, Central Coast NSW and Rocky making the effort to compete at Round 1 ARB XWC.

It is not to late to enter.

Spectators please remember that it is only the "Special" price of $50 for the weekend and no extra to get into the comp areas.

Cheers

Tracks all but sorted, finale touches tomorrow.

Slight shower this afternoon to settle the dust.

Remember there will be food available over the weekend.

Friday night now will see 2 drive stages (I changed one hill so there would be no winching, "Nice Mr Metcalfe"). SS3 will have 2 possible winches and is very spectator friendly.

See you all tomorrow.

Have just finished throwing everything in the wash after a very WET XWC at the Springs. Thank-you to all the competitors for being so kind to me after a 2 year break. It was good to be back as an Official again.

Well Winner's are Grinner's, just ask Rod and Russell Rathbone as they came away in 1st place.

Second was everyone's friend Lynda (Barbie) and Aaron,

And 3rd was Chris and Chris in the buggy.

The teams running the Polaris Razor's were unreal to watch, and when they sort out the slow winch and small battery the big winch trucks had better watch out.

Congratulations to all the place getters, they were all well deserved.

Catch ya

was a seriously wet and chilly weekend but was a great weekend nonetheless from a spectator point of view.

Like many was my first time to the springs and can't wait to plan my next trip out there.

Well done to all the competitors for putting up with such terrible conditions and putting on a great show!
Can't wait to find out when and where round 2 is.

Well what a weekend. Big thanks to The Springs for letting me use the Park, I really enjoyed it.

ARB XWC Round 1 would have had the worst weather conditions I have seen for a good while, rain and cold wind. This did not let up for all of Saturday and Sunday until after the event was finished.

Big thanks to the Officials who had to work under these tough conditions.

Congratulations to Rod & Russell Rathbone for a very nice win. Rod & Russell were followed by Lynda & Aaron Ward and in 3rd place was Chris Wood & Chis Brame in Chris's buggy.

The Polaris Razors put on a great show and only missed one hill out of all the SS. Gary & David showed that they really could mix it with the big trucks over the same SS.

I will get results up later today & photos will be able to be seen on my Facebook page later today.

Cheers
