Hi there, my D1 v8 pulls hard to the left when under power, but more dangerouse is the jerk to the right when i back off from the power.
Everything is amplified as am running on 2" spring left. 2.5" body lift, 35" rubber and generally towing a trailer.
I have true tracks fitted front and rear, not sure if this is the cause or if there is another underlying problem or if the true tracks have a problem with them???
Any help much appreciated
cheers

Re: D1 with True Tracks pulling to left under power
Check to see if the rolling diameter of the tyres is the same side to side.
Do you have say a fresh spare on the LH front? Are the pressures the same?
The other reason for dives to the left is that the top bushes on the chassis for the rear A frame have failed.
I have had a Quaife (similar to Trutrac) in the front with no steering problems on an RRC with 2inch lift and 31.5inch tyres.

Don't mind my ignorance I'm new to rogers. but what is a Quaife or a true track ?
Re: D1 with True Tracks pulling to left under power
Those symtoms are exactly what my discovery 1 on 32'' tyres with 2-3 inch lift does when the panhard rod bushes are cacktus. It is much more pronounced when towing also. I would start there. I would be very suprised if the diffs have any effect on it.

I'd also check the rubbers in the trailing arms as they can have a rear steer effect on the car when accelerating/decelerating, its gets worse as they get older.
Re: D1 with True Tracks pulling to left under power
Thanks guys, i had a feeling it would be bushes, have had the true tracks for ages and never had this issue, however the body lift is new and havn't towed for a while. I have sets of radius arm bushes, trailing arm bushes and also panhard rod bushes so they are going in straight away and will look into some rear A frame bushes.
The tyres are evenly worn so would not be a cause.
starky, Detroit True Tracks are an aggressive form of LSD and perfect for the front end of a constant 4wd such as Rovers as auto lockers can not be used. I love them, can run hard without the worry of loosing steering and with some light brake pressure you can activate possitive drive to all wheels when needed. In haindsight i would prefer Air Locker in the rear with the true track in the front as opposed to the true track front and rear.
