Yes it certainly does. Very common mod. search 2.8 turbo or 3L turbo and you will find heaps of info.

Both 2LT & 2LT-E will bolt up tho 2LT-E has slightly better (later design) turbo.
If your bolting it to a 3L then the boost compensator from the 2LT will go on your 3L fuel pump, or just use the 2LT pump and up the fuel to suit.

Firstly which turbo is in the 84 cause it wasn't there from factory.
Could be a Surf factory CT20 or an aftermarket kit that's been put on.

2LT, 2LTE & 3L all share same block design so manifolds, etc. will swap between them. Heads are different, tho genuine replacement for a 2LTE head is actually a 3L head.
Engine built for N/A will not handle same long term boost as one built for turbo, so IMO keep the boost to about 8-9psi max on N/A engine.
Ran 11psi (factory is 7-8psi) on my 2LTE for years with no problems to date.
Like most toyo diesels, keep the oil changes and basic servicing up to it and will go forever.

Tons of info on here, a search for specific stuff is usually the quickest way to get most answers.
