hi guys, a mate asked me if i could find out if a 100 series 4.5litre six will be a straight bolt in to an 80 series which has a 4.5litre six. the 80's motor has given up the ghost and he can get a good price on a 4.5 out of a 100.
any help would be great, or anything to watch for, any tips or trick??
cheers

Re: 100 series motor to fit 80 series questions
Yes, will fit but you will have to use the 100 series computer and wiring harness. Otherwise you will have to put the 80 series electrics on the 100 series motor but that would be alot of f*@king around.

Re: 100 series motor to fit 80 series questions
Cheers mate, he's got the a motor, harness, computer, coil pack. The main thing we are worried is the gear box and bell housing. The 80 series is a 5 speed, is the stud pattern on the rear of the the motor the same on all the 4.5 petrols?
Re: 100 series motor to fit 80 series questions
