MN/NP with GU rims and 285/75R16 info please.

Post by Goodsy »

G'day Guys
I recently purchased some GU steels to go onto my NP GXL.

I have read that the mentioned combo will work but am interested at how much the wheels will protrude from the guards and
what needs to be cut to make them fit. :?:

Pics would be great!!! :D

Cheers
Tim

Since you have them, I suggest you try them on......

But i'd say they will stick out - lots. That is if they even fit, they may not.

The GU's are offset 15mm more than the PJ standards. Running 265/75R16's now so add another 10mm and that comes
to a total of 25mm out and 20mm in. Plus a larger Dia. Sounds ok to me.............

I know people are running this setup on NM/NP's.

Well finally go my arse into gear and bought some GU rims and some 285/75R16 Silverstone MT-117 Sports.

They fit just inside the guards but I think I'm going to have to install 40mm guard extensions
as they flick a lot of crap up and in 5 minutes of fun the PJ has changed colours.

But all round :D
