ARB air locker, scoured carrier air leak ????

Post by morewheeldrive »

Hey all, got a Gq rear diff with Arb air locker, had an air leak and replaced all the seals. Still leaking. Seems the actual carrier housing has grooves worn in it from the air delivery ring seals. Tried shimming it out to get a better seal/rubbing surface and the only place it sealed was right on the outer edge which would cause it
To fowl on the diff housing when fitted back in.
Anyone know if Arb sell over size seals for this or do they just bend u over for a new carrier?

It's an option that I'm not keen to take lol. A last resort. Cos getting the air pilot hole drilled in the exact position in the sleeve to suit the original surface would be the job of highly skilled machine shop. And probly cost similar dollars to a new carrier. But over sized seals would be awesome
