Why five studs?
This is probably a stupid question, but I was wondering if anyone knew why the hell Toyota decided to change from six stud hubs to five when they built the 100series? I would have thought six studs would have been better. It just makes it a pain in the arse when upgrading from an 80 to a 100 cz you have to get new rims.

Imagine u sell 1 million 100 series world wide.. and each stud costs 50c... 4 x $0.50 is $2.00... times that by 1 million units...........

Not sure myself but seems logical to me that maybe they've done it to match their van range so axle components are interchangable would save costs in developing a stronger 5 stud just for the heavy duty vans. Instead develop 5 stud for cruiser and kill two birds with one stone.
93 RV, 5 in tough dog lift, dobinsons shocks and coils, PA, dual fuel, many many oil leaks and a ton of character.
