I'm sooooo peeved. Getting married the weekend after so i'll be unable to attend. This soooo much sounds like what i'm after. The last king of the rim looked too hard to be done by a normal harcore wheeler to be honest, it looked more like a short course TT event that went for ages. This sounds like the technical wheeling is a little easier and tactics and driver skill will be more important, plus the fast secions sound awesome.

Just out of interest, will a well made exo count as a cage?

For those of us that can't make it up there for a pre-run, how well will the course be demarcated on the day for those of us doing the first lap sight unseen. Or will there be an opportunity for a pre-race lap?

There is an early bird registration for competitors. Online registration and payment must be made in the allocated timeframe to ensure you get the discounted rate.

Register and pay prior 1 October 2011 entry fee is $150 per competitor (includes driver and navigator)

Register and pay prior 1 November 2011 entry fee is $220 per competitor (includes driver and navigator)

Registration during or on the day entry if is $300 per competitor (includes driver and navigator)

Pre-purchased tickets by 11 November $15 per adult, $7 per child (6-16 years) (children under 6 free)

Tickets bought at the gate will cost $20 per adult and $10 per child (6-16 years) (children under 6 free)

This ticket gives you access to the event on Saturday only, you will be required to park up during the day events, but the park will be open for spectators to drive into the park after 4pm to enable you to get up to the lit up night run areas.

Weekend camping/Spectator entry fee
Spectators are welcome to make a weekend of it and camp. All campers will need to be in Friday night or if you just want to stay Saturday night, you will not be able to get in to set up camp until after 4pm on the Saturday.

There is NO DRIVING IN THE PARK ON SATURDAY until after 4pm.

To ensure we have a campsite for you, we recommend you pre book camping sites.

there will be an oppertunity for any one who doesnt get a chance to pre run to drive the track prior to the start of racing . but it wont be at speed as there will be spectators and vehicles on some of the tracks setting up . the course will be clearly marked you wont have a problem negotiating your way around.
we are working on the time table for the event atm we will post up more details soon .

Cheers to all who came out to help today. We had a good run through the track, with a wide range of cars. Michael in his winch truck was pretty quick, and we soon realised that the track wasn't long enough. We went for a bit of a drive, and managed to double the length of the track, with some fast sections and some good decents. Looks like the difficulty of the track is on the money, as Huub's Jeep on 35's, Michael's Patrol on 37's and Rob's 60 on 37's all had no issues getting around. A single lap should now take most cars between 30 and 40 minutes.

Closer to the event, we will organise another pre-run day, to give everyone the chance to check it out.

We will also try and come up with another map within the next couple of days to outline the extended track.

we have had a few enquiries about this and yes it will be ok to have a 4 point in a ute cab .
do you have another roll bar mounted on the rear tray ?

Yeah by then I will have a double hoop roll bar/ headboard and 2 stays heading back down the tray,,,,

I dont think you would be able to drive the night stage even if you owned the park or had family that did.

Also, what sort of area or size are the pits likely to be? Big enough for my crew to fix my POS when it busts?

Are there likely to be jumps? just need to know if i need to be putting limiting straps on the suspension to hold the coils in

there are only jumps for people who have the nut sac to keep there right foot planted otherwise you can keep all 4 on the ground

the special stage for modiefied will either be a shoot out lap or if we can find a suitable area to do some hill drags.

the pit area will be fairly small, mainly for minor repairs and refueling. if any major repairs required, you are more than welcome to do them at camp.
