Locktup springs and crossover
Just wondering if anyone is running these springs just want to know how much I will need to move the mounts and also what the best size shackles to run are front and back also when installing crossover steering on a ln65 do I need to install a power steering pump from a Ida model as well as the box or just the steering box
Cheers

Re: Locktup springs and crossover
install instructions can be found on the locktup and or trail-gear website. for highsteer u use the IFS powersteering box only, powersteering pump will be the same or useable.
Re: Locktup springs and crossover
Is that the case even when I don't have power steering it is a 85 single cab with no power steering
Re: Locktup springs and crossover
If you dont have power steer and you want to fit high steer you will need to fit power steer...Toyota didnt make a left to right non powersteer box ...kane86 wrote:Is that the case even when I don't have power steering it is a 85 single cab with no power steering

Re: Locktup springs and crossover
So virtually my best best is to fit power steering first and then get the high steer fitted or would it be easier just doing the whole lot in one hit
Re: Locktup springs and crossover
If you dont have power steer and your wanting to go to high steer just fit it all at once cause you need to fit an indepenant power steer box and they are mounted differently to a standard box...kane86 wrote:So virtually my best best is to fit power steering first and then get the high steer fitted or would it be easier just doing the whole lot in one hit
indepenant box will not work with your current steering system either...

Re: Locktup springs and crossover
Ok thank you very much for your help now it's time to track down a power steering set up does it have to be from a ln65 or will a ln106 etc system work fine
Re: Locktup springs and crossover
If the same engine is fitted to both yes will be fine.. if not the pump will be fin you might have to modifiy the mounts... welcome to the world of modifications... it will never stop now...kane86 wrote:Ok thank you very much for your help now it's time to track down a power steering set up does it have to be from a ln65 or will a ln106 etc system work fine

Re: Locktup springs and crossover
Yours would have a L or 2L diesel? in which case powersteering from a 3L or 2LTE will suit
