just wondering how much horsepower std gq running gear can take, upgrading the engine over the next couple of weeks from a stock 350 to 1 of the 2 following engines,
option 1-350 vortec,330 hp(240kw) 380 ftlb torque(515nm)
option 2-383 vortec,405 hp(300kw) 440 ftlb torque(600nm).
would prefer the 383 but dont want to break things every trip, ill be running 35" silverstone extremes, and apparently ive got a heavy right foot?thanks for any advice.

how much power??
Re: how much power??
Plenty of people running these figures through GQ gear. IMO everything will be fine except CV's upgrade to heat treated or chomoly.tassie wombat wrote: option 2-383 vortec,405 hp(300kw) 440 ftlb torque(600nm).

Re: how much power??
The rear diff is not the best if you have a
Heavy right foot on the road .
And I'd get the 383 100%
Heavy right foot on the road .
And I'd get the 383 100%
GQ with big nuts
Re: how much power??
