Warn High mount question

Post by Screwy »

Gday guys,

Ive had a Warn high mount sitting in the shed for awhile not doing anything and im looking to sell it.

Problem is that i have no idea what Pound it is.... 8000, 9000, 10000 pound etc etc

I have the numbers off the compliance plate on the motor, but thats all the detail thats on it. Ive googled the numbers with no major luck....

Was wondering if anyone on here knows what these numbers means as far as size of this winch or how to find out?

Warn Series Wound Power

M 26626
N MRV-B-4
V 12
D 465

Any Help would be great.

cheers

AFAIK all warn high mounts are rated to 8000lb.

Motors were almost the only thing that changed (from 2.5 to 4.6hp iirc). If your motor doesn't have the big heatsink-ish endcap then it's probably a 2.5.

All I found in a quick look was a Warn Bellbird reference.
There are a number of changes to the Himount over the years. I also think the design is not a warn design. They just brought it and sold it as there own.
Early himounts at no free spool, think most of these had either 2hp 12v or 24v. Then there was a round free spool handle. From memory these had 2.2hp (great motor apparently) and 2.5hp (another great motor).
Then the free spool upgraded to a T handle and it got a 4.6hp motor (no where near as good as the older ones).

I dont know what else was different. Other than Toyota made there own with really slow gearing. And Gigglepin make a really expensive copy.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY....

need a pic of the whole winch motor to be sure but it looks like a 4.6HP, the sticker on the motor should have details on it but given that the sticker is still on it i am assuming its the newer 4.6.
