It should drive pretty good, the geometry is pretty well spot on, and the lower arms are adjustable to allow for finite adjustments. I knew it would never drive the same again when i had the solid front end done, but that was a sacrifice i was and still am, willing to make. The reason for the trucks existance is purely for fufilling my 4wding 'habit' so it's more important to me how it goes off road than on. If you're in sydney i'd be happy to take you for a ride some day. cheers, Jeremy

Yeah I only just bought my first 4WD about 5 weeks ago. It's a 93 4Runner V6.
I grew up in weipa, and was around 4 wheel drives alot up there, but haven't owned one till now. Having a lot of fun in it, but I have already felt first hand it's limited ability off road.
I am looking at ways to improve it's capability ... not sure I am ready for a 4 link rear though

Nah dude i don't work for chaos, they did the solid front swap on the surf for me...... that was last year though, if i could go back to then i would do the swap myself, i now think it's always better doing things yourself, you get much more experience and satisfaction doing it yourself, even though it might end up costing you the same in the end due to trial and error you have still 'Built Not Bought' .
Also, that rear end is a 3 link, 4 link is with the two upper links mounted seperatly ontop of the diff.

Whats the "average" cost of those double coil spring shockers worth..
Would i be wrong in assuming that they are just a uni-fit type unit given the extensive nature of the modification..?
Do they have "rate" adjustments like that of racho 9000's ?..
I've got a 75 series tray which i've bob tailed etc etc but havent gone to the expense of the major suspension mods or upgrades yet. It still resides on its factory modified (now rooted) springs and shocks.
I also have a turbo diesle 80 series wagon that i have used as my first rock hopper (nothing to the extent of the outerlimits crew..I went out one day with them mid last year and i just parked my red 80 and watched strange rover, BJ ,boatlux going the honky).. Any ways having seen and felt the capabilites of the coils sprung truck, I would like to convert the 75 in a said similar manner.. But if im gonna do it..I'm not going to do some half arsed attempt at it... So the pics and photos that you guys are posting up of your mods on various truck are preemo for this mechanic (with fitter and turner in tow) to start thinking of which direction to go in..

45 series ute - 308 -gas -35's- lifted -no flex..But i got air lockers !

Those coilovers are actually rancho 9012's with new eyes welded on top and bottom and a threaded adjuster and stuff like that. You will have to speak to chaos about pricing. Megaman [trailcraft] and Cheezy are now doing coilovers with more travel and personally i think stronger than the ones i am running, so have a chat to them as well, and since you are in queensland i would talk to kings springs about springs. Do a search on 'coilovers' and you will come up with some decent info.
