Passed Engineer FAILED Blue Slip!!!!
As the title says I passed my engineer certification and failed blue slip for a worn brake pedal (pluse windscreen wipers which are fine). Can anyone tell me have you fail a pink or blue slip with this much wear on the brake pedal

Re: Passed Engineer FAILED Blue Slip!!!!
I don't think my mechanic has ever even looked at my pedal.
I did have a friend who had one mechanic who was so anal (or short of work) that he put a rag in the tail pipe to see if the exhaust had any leaks.
And I failed a blue slip once (even though I only needed the engine numbers checked for a swap, but that's another story ) because of a lack of radiator shrowd. Which I had in the boot ready to go on.

Re: Passed Engineer FAILED Blue Slip!!!!
Once you have had a knock back for a blue slip, you can't change to another inspector, the RTA system won't let you, exactly so you can't go to dodgy brothers down the road to pass your POS that already failed.stilivn wrote:I have been advised to replace pedal rubber but wasn't failed Get yourself a new approver, like said they are only a few bucks
So clearly, you should go to dodgy brothers first up.

Re: Passed Engineer FAILED Blue Slip!!!!
I always ask mechanic to check car out first for what I'd need for.a blueslip / pinkslip that way its not in the system. If I like what they say then i tell them to do the actual slip.

That mechanic must really hate you.
This is not legal advice.
Im here for the sausage!
Re: Passed Engineer FAILED Blue Slip!!!!
Think that is odd.
i passed a blue slip ok.
but got failed at tuff truck scrutineering for not enough rubber on the pedal.
lucky my navi that year had a FJ45 so we stole his pedal.
i guess you just pay your $6 and move on in life knowing you get to drive your junk now.
