89 Sierra speedo
89 Sierra speedo
Has anyone had problems with sierra speedo. Sometimes it works fine other times not at all or reading a lot lower speed. I've checked the cable its fine. Can anyone help.

I've currently got a vitara speedo that reads a little lower than it should sometimes. It does this when i've been going fast and i'm slowing down, it'll stay up at the higher speed. I'm not concerned.
The best thing you can do is spray some lubricant down the cable, both ends, and also some into the input of the speedo gear.... It's probably just sticking. If it were broken, you'd get nothing.

My tires were rubbing in the front, so I trimmed the hood, and now they're fine...
Speedo
...at whatever speed u were doing.
Might wanna convert that into a percentage, ie; 10km @ 100km/hr may be 6km @ 60km/hr, ie; 10% out.
Good luck with it.
