I've currently got a vitara speedo that reads a little lower than it should sometimes. It does this when i've been going fast and i'm slowing down, it'll stay up at the higher speed. I'm not concerned.

The best thing you can do is spray some lubricant down the cable, both ends, and also some into the input of the speedo gear.... It's probably just sticking. If it were broken, you'd get nothing.
My tires were rubbing in the front, so I trimmed the hood, and now they're fine...

...at whatever speed u were doing.

Might wanna convert that into a percentage, ie; 10km @ 100km/hr may be 6km @ 60km/hr, ie; 10% out.

Good luck with it.

What sort of Sierra is it? I've got a 1L 83. The speedo on it always reads 10km slower. I've got a GPS and whether you're going 50kmh or 80kmh, the speedo still reads 10km slower. No idea how to fix it though.

Yeah its 10ks at 100. I actually meant to say it was out by 10%. I also yell at and hit it but it makes no difference. Ive also found that when its cold( which isn't often up here) it wont read properly but when its hot it does, the weather not the car. I now just go off my tacho.
