Haultech CV question

Post by JBE »

I fitted Haultech CVs to my GQ front diff on Thursday. When I greased them, I noticed that they were incredibly tight. I knew that they are tighter than the standard CVs, but I had to pull like an ox to bend them from straight to full lock on the bench.

Anyway, I fitted them and the test drive with hubs locked was fine (i.e. no suspicious noises), but I noticed that the steering would not return to center (last 3/4 of the steering wheel turn) without assistance when the hubs were unlocked.

I want to know if this behavior is normal or if my CVs are too tight?

Cheers

Joachim
