hello
just looking at putting a electronic distributor into my 3y hilux and need help can't find any info on doing it
The distributor i have been giving by a mate has got two wires running out of it and he said that he has been told that
one wire is power and the is earth the trouble is that the wires are one is black with a red strip and the other is
black only (can put pictures up) but he doesn't know which is what
also he said it's got the coil built into it so thats why i am have a problem
i got no problems in putting it into car but i don't want to wire it up wrong

I would say...
Black with red trace = power
Black = earth

You will need to ensure that the old ignition feed to the coil is 12v. If a ballast resistor is fitted remove it.

If the new dissy has coil in cap it just needs the 12V power and earth hooked up.
