Hello all,
I have a maverick which originally had a limited slip rear diff which was replaced with an air locker. I am now taking out the diff center including the air locker to sell. I have replaced the diff center with an open diff center that I had lying around and am now struggling to get the half axles (from the limited slip diff) to insert on their splines. The spline count looks the same but I suspect the half shafts for a open diff axle must be a smaller diameter to those of a limited slip diff.
Can anyone here confirm or deny this before I pull the center back out to check. It was a real bitch to lift and install into the diff housing so I don't want to take it out to check if I can avoid it.
Thanx

Re: GQ/MAV REAR AXLE OPTIONS
Mate spline count should be 33 there is no difference as far as i know but open centre rear is rare only in early models i beleive.
Re: GQ/MAV REAR AXLE OPTIONS
Is it an MQ low pinion centre?
They are 31 not 33 spline and neck down just at the spline.
