TD42 Shakes at idle

Post by Burdy »

Ive recently changed my engine mounts on my GQ TD42 as one failed and noticed that it runs rough at idle it doesnt miss the motor actually shakes its not lacking power the pump has been rebuilt in the last six months injectors have been done, ive cracked the injector lines and it went away for a bit but now its back im thinking that there might be air getting in somewhere whats your thoughts?

Hay mate just an idea put a clear hose from your lift pump to your injector pump and see if your fuel is air rated because I have seen alot of after market fuel filters suck air and cause alot of problems. cheers Rick.

think of it as having a V8 in there.... your engine is just so tuff that it shakes slightly at idle.
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown

Did any other the fuel lines around the engine mounts bet knocked while swapping them out? As theres alot of fuel pipes that can be knocked while reaching down on the drivers side of the engine.
Maybe clean that side of the engine and dry it. And see if there is any leaks, maybe even undo a pipe up high so vacuum dosent hold the fuel in.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY....
